This time, and following the Jordan monarchs visit to Portugal, the chosen place is the mystical Petra.
PETRA is an archaeological site in the Arabah, located in Jordan - the oriental country considered as “The pearl of the Orient”.
Petra was unknow to the western world until 1812, when the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwing introduced it to the West.
In 1985, Petra was designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO and since July of 2007, during an international cerimony in Lisbon – Portugal, Petra also became one of the New 7 Wonders of the Modern World.

É incrivel a quantidade de monumentos e arte que nos foi legada como herança por tantas civilizaçoes e povos remotos!! e nos tempos que correm, o que temos nós feito para deixar como herança às gerações que nos seguem???...

Tecnologia... pois todos vivemos à volta dela, descobertas científicas, destruição ambiental e pouco mais que isso.
Agora, marcos históricos que perdurem por séculos... poucos vejo... e estes são os que embelezam o mundo em que vivemos.
